French Cafe Music conjures up the romantic image of the accordion playing in the streets of Paris and the legendary Edith Piaf - an apt description of the music played by Paris Moon. This style of music, known as Musette, developed in Paris from the turn of the 20th century to its peak of popularity in the late 1930s.
Paris Moon is an unusual combination of accordion and double bass in which Jackie Doe and Sarah Luton play their own interpretation of Musette (French Cafe Music). Their repertoire of waltzes, tangos, polkas and paso-dobles along with popular songs of stars such as Edith Piaf is evocative of a by-gone era yet captures the timeless charm and romance of Paris.
Paris Moon has played at venues as diverse as Claridges, The Royal Academy of Art, Wellington Arch and Somerset House in London, Valentines Day in Beirut, as well as art centres, craft fairs, French markets, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and restaurants across the UK.
We can tailor the band to meet your particular needs. For larger venues, Paris Moon can include Keith Allen on guitar and Piotr Jordan on violin.
