Tango stems from the docklands of Buenos Aires at the end of the 19th century. Whilst other music and dance fads have appeared throughout the 20th century, Tango has never disappeared. Established particularly by bandoneonist Astor Piazzolla it has continued to develop worldwide with many countries creating their own style.

Tango Select plays a range of Tangos, blending European and Argentinian influences to create a memorable sound and style of its own.

An ideal accompaniment for dancing or as background music, Tango Select have played at a wide variety of venues including Christies in London, Womad and other music festivals, restaurants, weddings, anniversaries and other private functions countrywide.

From large to small venues Tango Select can perform as a duo,trio or quartet to suit your personal requirements and budget.
